Background

Iron deficiency in heart failure is not a secondary concern, it's a condition within a condition. For patients already navigating breathlessness, fatigue, and the fear of physical limitation, iron deficiency quietly compounds every struggle. Simple tasks become ordeals. Independence erodes. And with it, something harder to measure but equally real: the sense of being a burden to the people they love most.

Intravenous iron therapy changes that trajectory. The clinical evidence is compelling, reduced hospitalisations, meaningful improvements in exercise capacity, and measurable gains in the 6-minute walk test. But behind every data point is a patient who can climb the stairs again, keep their own appointments, and stop apologising for what they can no longer do.

Solution

An awareness campaign that bridges the clinical and the human, helping HCPs see not just the mechanism, but the moment. The moment a patient realises their world is getting bigger again, not smaller.

The campaign will bring the benefits of IV iron therapy to life across the full picture: the evidence that supports earlier intervention, the outcomes that matter to clinicians, and the daily realities that matter to patients. By connecting the measurable to the meaningful — reduced readmissions alongside restored routines, exercise capacity alongside the capacity to live fully, we give HCPs a richer, more complete reason to act.
